Objective of the Sustainable Island Mauritius
The Tourism Authority is the Lead Partner of the Sustainable Island Mauritius project.
Capacity building, trainings, workshop organisations, visibility actions, coaching and mentoring of tourism operators are among the activities undertaken to encourage the Tourism Value Chain to adopt the best sustainable practices. It is also the initiator of the Sustainable Tourism Mauritius Awards that recognise the best performers in Mauritius and Rodrigues in terms of sustainability actions.
