Deals with all financial and administrative matters of the Authority.

Processes application for the issue of a Pleasure Craft Licence (Commercial- PC and Private-PPC). Also assesses the sea worthiness of crafts by conducting surveys.

Processes applications for the issue of a Tourist Enterprise Licence (TEL) and Tourist Accommodation Certificate (TAC) and for the Hotel Star Rating. Also assesses the standards of the building/premises by conducting site visits and audits.

Compiles all cases (TEL, TAC, PCL for consideration by the Licensing Committee (LC) and communicates the decisions of the LC to the applicants and licensees in respect of their applications and requests.

Processes application for the issue of skipper’s licence. Also conducts training and examinations (theoretical and practical).

Carries out inspections to ensure compliance with the Tourism Authority Act, regulations, guidelines and establishes contraventions whenever applicable. Also investigates on complaints.

Provides information to the public via the website, SMS blast system and other means of communication on the Authority’s policies, directives, activities, etc.

Responsible for ensuring that the Tourism Authority has robust, effective and secured information technology environment for its operations, as well as supervising IT projects

Conduct audits of hotels to verify on-site compliance with the classification criteria and inspections of tourist establishments to assess their adherence to the criteria.
